The post below is in Portuguese. We will translate critical announcements as the project gains an English-speaking audience.
Product line renamed — Forge, Apex, Quarter
We dropped the generic names (One/Pro/Race) for a family with personality. Forge for the base, Apex for the top, Quarter for drag. Old slugs redirect permanently.
The old names (Pistonix One, Pro, Race, App, Cloud) were functional but soulless. For a brand that wants to occupy cultural space in Brazilian V-twin, “One/Pro/Race” doesn’t say anything. We swapped them for the names that are going to stick.
The new names
- Pistonix Forge — base ECU. Forged for the Twin Cam.
- Pistonix Apex — expanded ECU. Top of the line, Milwaukee-Eight with ride-by-wire.
- Pistonix Quarter — drag ECU. Reference to the quarter mile.
- Pistonix Dash — digital cluster (kept).
- Pistonix Ride — mobile app (was App).
- Pistonix Garage — backend (was Cloud).
- Pistonix Tuner — desktop software (kept).
SEO and old URLs
/produtos/one, /produtos/pro, /produtos/race, /produtos/app,
and /produtos/cloud redirect permanently (HTTP 301) to the new
slugs. Anyone with a bookmark, DM link, or screenshot of the old URL
still arrives at the right place, and the search engine moves the
page rank to the new address without losing history.
And Pistonix?
The parent brand stays Pistonix — only the products got their own personality. Forge, Apex, and Quarter give the line room to grow without recycling “One v2”, “Pro Plus”, “Race XL”.
